We bought this cooker after a long long look at all the others on Amazon and other sites, and are pleased we did so. The grill option is great. It's easy to use, and really does 'grill healthily' as it claims, as the fat from the sausages and bacon etc actually does fall through to the pan underneath. As you have put water into this bottom pan (as they tell you to do), it makes it very easy to wash afterwards. I highly reccommend the carry bag for this grill. It's nice and big and you can store all your bits such as matches, the booklet, the gas head thing etc - very useful. One thing - when you are cooking up your nice grilled breakfast (and toast too - it does 'campfire' style toast which is my favourite), you will suddenly realize that you need a cup of tea! But you're using the grill for grilling, and the grill takes up both rings of the stove!! We are therefore planning to buy another, smaller stove to deal with this problem - then we can be grilling and making tea or cooking something else at the same time. I think it's worth it as the grill is so fantastic - I wouldn't be without it. We took this stove to a pebble beach near our campsite, and had burgers and sausages for all the family, fab. We then also took it to a sandy beach the next day, but this I don't reccommend as the sand gets in everywhere, and is harder to clean off the stove once you get home. I am hoping to be able to buy the 'wind-flaps' for the sides of the stove, as there are slots for these but they weren't included. Not that we needed them this holiday, but might for the next one. All in all, a great stove.--maiamum See more

This is a good basic camp cook set. The items seem well made and are certainly compact. The handle fits the larger pot well, but not so well on the others. Not to say it doesn't work, just doesn't feel so good. Otherwise a simple set that looks like it should last years. It does what it should for us anyway, hence four stars. See more

This is an excellent product that is capacious yet not over large to carry. It works well and the mains and 12 volt leads mean it is so adaptable. There is a gentle hum from the fans when running inside the car but it is at a very acceptable level. It would help to have space to include the plug within the lid in some way and I find it frustrating that the handle comes off so easily, but all in all, a very good purchase.--I. Friars See more

Kitchen patrol, otherwise known as "KP," certainly isn't the best part of camping, but with the Coleman Double Wash Basin, it's at least over in a hurry. The double-sided, collapsible sink lets you wash and rinse your dishes simultaneously, saving time and getting you back to the outdoor fun as quickly as possible.
Four handles allow you to pick up and move the durable basin, which is constructed of rugged PVC material. The basin measures 20-by-six-by-ten-inches (W x H x D), and each "sink" is ten-by-ten inches (W x D). Six support rods keep the entire device sturdy, even when full of water and dishes. See more

I think in every Western there is a shot of guys sitting around a camp fire after a long day of riding/bulding a railroad/working a gold mine/robbing banks and trains/etc. In almost every shot, the guys are eating unidentifiable food off of blue tin plates. Well, you can't necessarily be in the movies, but you can have the plates.
This set consists of four plates, four bowls and four mugs. Each piece is very sturdy is enameled in that famous blue (or red) with white specks. Kind of like looking up at a clear night sky when you're out camping. The pieces are sized well and should hold up to a lot of use outdoors.
But here are the three reasons to get this set. First, the set is well made. You won't have to worry about sawing through your paper plate (and your leg), or your plastic plate flipping over. You won't have to worry about your hot coffee melting through the flimsy paper cup, or your half-eaten plastic bowl of cereal blowing away.
Second, hauling paper and plastic dinnerware to a campsite or a picnic site creates garbage. Garbage attracts pests and animals. Garbage stinks and creates litter. Garbage eventually has to be buried somewhere to rot, sometimes for hundreds or thousands of years. Or you could just use this set, wash it off and then use it again. Your call...
Third, it just looks cool. Plain and simple.
The bottom line is good value, good for the environment, good purchase for you!--Mike See more

This dishware set is a great add to my tent trailer! It wears well and washes well. I escpecially love the insulated cups with lids. They work GREAT with hot chocolate and keep my drink toasty warm. The cups and lids, while plastic, don't lose their shape with the hot liquid either. I washed the set when I first received it in my dishwasher (top shelf). Everything came out great. The only thing I noticed is that the lids to the bowls came out a little warped, but they snapped back into shape when I put them on the bowls. I highly recommend this set to any avid campers who want something more substantial than paper plates & bowls, and styrofoam cups.--T. Benecke See more

This a great and well packaged set. The lightness of the utensils may make some think of them as cheap, but if I'm backpacking, I'm happy about that feature! They were the perfect set for our camping trip and were plenty durable for four guys using them for steaks! Along with the enamelware set it is a great relief to not have to worry about additional trash in the middle of nowhere. Great and exactly what I expected.--Jassica Rowe See more

I really appreciated having this set for our most recent camping trip. It was nice not to have to use paper products. We have only used it for one trip so far but all of the pieces including the utensils seem to be of good quality. The plates and bowls are also a nice size. The only complaint I have is that the spoons are too big. They are soup spoon size and I prefer a smaller spoon. It also makes it difficult for my kids to use the spoons. I am very happy with this purchase and plan to buy an additional set. It would be nice if there was a storage bag or if the box it came end would hold up a little better for storage.--M. I ordered this kitchen set and arrived fast than expected (international shipment). At a first glance when deciding to buy it, I was expecting something cheap, made of cheap plastic and relatively small. Today I received it and I have a nice suprise. Except for the towel, the sponge the greater and the whisk, everything is made of plastic but not cheap plastic. It's bigger than expected, the organizer case's measures (as stated in the product label) are: 12"x8.2"x3.2" and weights 2 lbs. 4 oz. It has an adjustable (velcro) handle in one side. The cutting board is about 9.1"x5.9". Measures of the rest of the utensils are: forks, 7.8"; knives, 8.2"; spoons, 7.3"; spatula (folded), 6.5"; serving spoon (folded), 6.5"; cheese grater, 5"; whisk, 6.75", bottles, 2.3 fl. oz. What I try to do is give a general background of the size of this kitchen set and its utensils.
It comes with additional slots to add some other things of your own. I added a small chef knife, a similar plastic bottle with antibacterial gel and another one for spices, and a can opener, and there is room for maybe a couple of some other things that maybe you would like to add.
In my opinion this is not suitable for backpacking because its size and maybe it is a little bit heavy and probably you would like to use that space to put some other things in your backpack. However, if you are like me, in the sense that we like to go camping and carry evertyhing in a vehicle, this is great. I'm sure you won't regret about it.
Finally, just be aware that the small spoons that appear on the picture are not included and the product description only mentions a 12-piece cuterly set (4 spoons, 4 knives and 4 forks). See more

Camping Cooking
Enjoy a gourmet feast while camping in the great outdoors with the Bugaboo Camper outdoor cookware set. The Bugaboo Camper set--which stacks conveniently and stores in a welded stuff sack--is reconfigurable for everything from two-person backpacking to four-person car camping.
The set starts with three pieces of traditional cookware: a 3-liter pot, a 2-liter pot, and a 9-inch frypan, all made using Bugaboo technology. Made of high-quality aluminum, Bugaboo pots and pans are light enough for backpacking, yet heat evenly enough to satisfy the most demanding camp cook. Plus, each piece is fully formed and then coated with two layers of durable nonstick coating for added scratch-resistance. The pots also include two lids with built-in strainers and a folding gripper that locks on to the pots to provide a secure handle while cooking. The color-coded tableware steps up when it's time to eat, with four 14-ounce insulated mugs, four 14-ounce bowls, and four 7.5-inch plates. The tableware is made of GSI Outdoors' lightweight, flexible Cascadian material, a chemically inert, BPA-free polypropylene design that remains resilient when exposed to both hot and cold temperatures. Moreover, Cascadian pieces won't absorb food odors like other plastics and are completely recyclable at the end of their service life. To keep you from spilling when drinking or sipping from the bowls, the set includes four Sip-It lids as well.
The Bugaboo Camper's best trait, however, may be its stackable design. The pieces nest together gently and fit inside a rugged stuff sack. Not only does the sack make storage and transport easy, but it also doubles as a sink or washbasin in camp, so you can quickly clean your dishes without hassle. See more

Camping Cooking
This is a set for the backpack gourmet who values comfort, but who has to make some sacrifices for weight. I wanted a reasonably light cookset for two that was small enough to be packable by an overnight kayaker -- which isn't the same as a backpacker since my boat can carry twice as much weight and gear as I can -- that is of decent quality, is durable and cleans up easily. I was tired of scrubbing egg residue out of my very old and tried-and-true stainless/copper bottom set.
It's hard complain. This is ideal for two to three campers, distributes heat very well thanks to the dark, anodized finish, and my stove (a Brunton Talon), a firestarter or lighter, camp soap and a nylon cleaning rag all fit inside the kit which fits inside my backpack or dry bag.
There are a few tradeoffs: I have used cookware with these style handles for years. What I have learned carries to this set as well: The handles are prone to being loose and swinging without being moved into position and they are not lockable. Still, I prefer this style to those with a single detachable (and potentially "losable") handle for all pans in the set since I sometimes cook with more than one pan. The skillet is a little smaller than I'd like and it has high sides. In fact, it's definitely more of a half-pan than a skillet. I won't be frying up a trout in it without some serious knife work.
Again, these are more tradeoffs than criticisms.
Light, yes, but not titanium light or backpacker-on-the-Appalachian-Trail light. Cheap, yes, but not aluminum cheap or titanium expensive. Teflon cleans VERY VERY easily, but, being Teflon, it will certainly eventually scratch or wear out. Durable, yes, but only time will tell and that Teflon won't last forever.
My final note is that it compares nicely to my camping friend's MSR Blacklite system. I am pleased with the price and with the set. For those who cook for large groups, or hikers who want a cookset to weigh less than an empty tuna can, look elsewhere. But if you want to do more than boil water for a freeze dried meal (like cook up some fish, potatoes and eggs) without a lot of extra weight, this is a very good choice. See more
